Readers React: Cell Phones Banned By Bill?

A bill banning Internet cafes is being challenged.

If you're reading this story via your cell phone you could be breaking the law. Huh?

That's right. According to the wording of the bill meant to ban Internet cafes and slot machines, any "system or network of devices" that may be used in the game of chance are banned from use.

Technically, that could include cell phones.

Gov. Rick Scott signed the bill into law back in April. And now an owner of one of those Internet cafes that got shut down as a result is challenging the bill and it's overreaching prowess, according to Gizmodo.com.

The owner, Consuelo Zapata, is now suing the state in hopes that the court calls the Internet cafe ban unconstitutional, according to Gizmodo.

Do you think his lawsuit has merit? Or should the courts leave this one alone? Tell us in the comments.
