Sheriff's Office Investigates Gun Threat On School Grounds
Anclote High School has an increased law enforcement presence Thursday due to the threat.

HOLIDAY, FL — Pasco County Sheriff's Office said it was investigating a threat discovered on social media tied to Anclote High School on Thursday. It later announced that the threat was fake.
"We were investigating a social media report of a gun on campus," the office said on Twitter. "This has been determined to be false."
The office increased the number of officers at the school around dismissal time in response to the threat, but it believed there was no immediate threat to the school. The increased presence was meant to "provide a sense of security for our students."
