Sunday in the City Mother's Day Downtown New Port Richey

Merchants Celebrate Moms in Downtown New Port Richey

New Port Richey, Downtown, FL (May 2, 2019) - Sunday in the City is an opportunity for the community to experience downtown New Port Richey in a new way; a more relaxed, casual, family friendly day out around town. The next Sunday in the City will take place on May 12, Mother’s Day, and provides an opportunity for downtown merchants to spoil moms with unique gift and adventure opportunities. The public is invited to head downtown to shop, dine, explore, and experience all the City has to offer. Walking, biking, and golf carts are all great ways to reach the downtown district.

Two new businesses have opened since last month and are joining the growing list of merchants in downtown New Port Richey with Sunday hours.

Get Outside (5780 Main Street) is a new outdoor sports store offering kayak and paddle board rentals and sales, accessories, inshore fishing guides, skateboards, gear, apparel, and high-end customized cruisers. They are offering moms half price on kayak rentals for the day and 10% off anything in the store.

Lis's Pieces Consignment Cottage (6214 Grand Boulevard) is a home decor boutique with new and unique pieces and have 10 artisans creating one of a kind treasures. They will be offering free mimosas, coffee, lemonade, and hors d'oeuvres to shoppers who will find special Mother’s Day gift baskets available for sale and all LaVerne Williams canvas art 10% off.

CrossFit War Box (5761 Nebraska Avenue) is joining the Sunday in the City lineup and will be hosting Mommies and Mimosas, a 9:00 a.m. light workout, free for all moms, followed by free beverages and fun.

Wright’s Natural Market is bringing in beautiful, fresh flower bouquets and will have those for sale beginning May 8. The New Port Richey Art Scene artists will be hosting an art walk around the downtown area along Main, Grand, and Nebraska, and will be unveiling an interactive Mother’s Day art installation near Sip Wine Bar & Restaurant. Participating restaurants and bars will be offering specials throughout the day. See the list of venues below for full details.
