For the most part, residents are breathing a sigh of relief after Tropical Storm Eta's visit to Pasco County.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — While Pasco County Public Works crews continue to clean up storm debris following Tropical Storm Eta's visit Wednesday and Thursday, for the most part, residents are breathing a sigh of relief.
Despite pounding parts of Pasco County with heavy rain that flooded some roads and 60 mph winds that blew down trees, Pasco County's Emergency Management Center made sure residents were well-prepared, opening sandbag stations throughout the county ahead of the storm as county officials declared a state of emergency.
Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco had deputies out on the streets through the night in case of anyone needed rescuing.

The National Weather Service said some areas of the county received up to 7 inches of rain, and 36,000 customers in Pinellas and Pasco counties reported outages to Duke Energy.
Eta made landfall in Cedar Key just south of the Suwanee River Thursday morning without causing any major damage.
