Watch: Ocala School Shooting Arrest Captured On Video
The Marion County Sheriff's Office released a bodycam video on the arrest of former Forest High School student Sky Bouche
OCALA, FL - The Marion County Sheriff's Office released a bodycam video on the arrest of former Forest High School student Sky Bouche, 19, who is accused of entering the school on April 20 and firing one round of his weapon into a door of a classroom.
The slug traveled through the door and struck a 17-year old student in the ankle/lower foot area. Bouche ceased fire and put his weapon down, deputies said. He then walked down the hallway to Classroom 229.
School Resource Deputy Jim Long and multiple members of the school's staff and administration responded to the second floor of building to the sound of an "explosion.” Long's body camera began recording when he and school staff first arrived to Classroom 212.

At 8:29 a.m. on Friday, April 20, deputies said Bouche entered the stairwell of Building 1 with a blue backpack and a black guitar case. The guitar case contained a 16-gauge sawed-off shotgun and his backpack contained a tactical vest, gloves and multiple shotgun shells, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office said Bouche entered the boy's restroom on the second floor of Building 1. He loaded his gun and put on his vest and gloves, deputies said, and then left the restroom armed with his weapon. He passed one girl in the hallway, but she did not notice his clothing or that he was armed.
Bouche was taken into custody within three minutes after the shooting. He did not offer any resistance, according to Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods. No law enforcement officers fired any shots.
After firing the shot at a closed classroom door, deputies said Bouche dropped his shotgun and waited in a hallway, talking with teacher Kelly McManis-Panasuk.
Bouche told his former teacher that he shot at a door. He said he wanted to be arrested because he was mentally ill, according to the teacher. McManis-Panasuk said she pressed the emergency call button at her desk and told the front office she had an active shooter situation.
About three minutes later, Long and Principal Brent Carson arrived and he was arrested.
The incident occurred on the day when high school students were participating in a National School Walkout against gun violence.
The Marion County School District said its schools were not participating in the national school walkout. Instead, the district planned to set aside time for the students to talk about the school shootings.
