What's Open, What's Closed On Labor Day?

PASCO COUNTY, FL – While you enjoy a labor-free Labor Day – with the exception of maybe tossing a couple of steaks on the grill – here’s a list of what will be open and what will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3.

Retail Stores

Never fear. You’ll be able to run to Publix, Walmart, Target, Fresh Market or Sprouts for that forgotten bottle of mustard on Labor Day. Most national retail chains will be open on Labor Day although hours may vary.

Pasco County Government

Pasco County Government offices, including the constitutional offices and the courts, will be closed Monday Sept. 3. All government offices and the courts will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 4.

The Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources’ offices, recreation complexes and community centers will be closed Monday, Sept. 3; however, the parks and beaches will stay open to the public from dawn to dusk.

Pasco County Public Transportation will be closed and bus services will not run Monday, Sept. 3.

The Pasco County Animal Services Administration Office, Adoption Center, Intake/Reclaim Shelter and Field Services will be closed Monday, Sept. 3. An animal control officer will be available for emergencies only.

The Pasco County Resource Recovery Facility, West Pasco Class III and the East Pasco Transfer Station will be closed to the public Monday, Sept. 3; however, they will be open to Pasco County-licensed commercial haulers.

All Pasco County libraries will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, and will resume regular business hours Tuesday, Sept. 4.

The Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office will be closed Saturday, Sept. 1, and Monday, Sept. 3.

City of New Port Richey

All New Port Richey city offices and the library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3. The Recreation & Aquatic Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

City of Zephyrhills

All Zephyrhills city offices will be closed in observance of Labor Day.
