Who's On Pasco County Aug. 18 Primary Ballot?
Voters will have a chance to cast ballots for a county commissioner, a schools superintendent and a school board member.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — Pasco County voters who haven't already voted by mail or voted early will head to the polls Tuesday, Aug. 18, to either elect officials or choose partisan candidates to vie in the general election Nov. 3.
Polls are open in Pasco County from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
School Superintendent

David LaRoche will attempt to unseat incumbent Kurt S. Browning for Pasco County Schools superintendent on the Republican ballot. The winner will face nonpartisan candidate Cynthia Thompson in the general election.
District 4 County Commissioner

The County Commission District 4 seat becomes a universal election in the Aug. 18 primary because there are only Republican contenders for the seat.
On the ballot for the commission seat are Gary Bradford, Christina "Fitzy" Fitzpatrick, Jeff Miller and Gabriel "Gabe" Papadopoulas.
Pasco County School Board
All voters will also have a chance to choose a new Pasco County School Board member. Vying for the District 4 seat are Alison Crumble and Joshua Stringfellow.
Judicial Seats
All voters will be asked to fill judicial seats.
Running for Group 28 circuit judge of the 6th Judicial Circuit Group are Evan Frayman and Eva Vergos.
Running for Group 44 circuit judge of the 6th Judicial Circuit Group are Elizabeth "Liz" Jack and Ashley Ward-Singleton.
And vying for Group 5 county judge are Joseph "Joe" Justice and Catie Mansfield.
Committee members
Republicans will be asked to choose a state committeeman and state committeewoman. Running for the post of committeeman are Randy Evans and Shawn Foster. Running for state committeewoman are Sandy Graves and Kirsten Moore.
Running unopposed in Pasco County:
- Clerk of circuit court and county comptroller Nikki Alvarez-Sowels, R.
- Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley, R.
- Tax collector Mike Fasano, R.
- Former county commissioner Mike Wells, R, for property appraiser.
- Sheriff Chris Nocco, R.
- District 1 County Commissioner Ronald E. Oakley, R.
- District 2 school board candidate Colleen R. Beaudoin.
In the Nov. 3 general election:
- District 3 County Commissioner Kathryn Starkey, R, will face off against Jessica Stempien, D.
- District 5 County Commissioner Jack Mariano, R, will face off against Democrat Brandi Geoit and nonpartisan candidate Victor Rodriguez.
- Voters will decide between Randy Evans and Seth Weightman for Seat 1 on the mosquito control board and among James F. Bailey, Shanon R. Holm and Gary W. (Buck) Joiner for Seat 3 on the mosquito control board.
