Wilderness Wonderland "Celebration of Lights" is back once again!

Drive thru and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Holiday season at Starkey Park

Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources Department is preparing to light up Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park for the 19th year. Visitors will be welcomed into the cabin area to see lights dance to the festive music.

Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park is located at 10500 Wilderness Park Blvd. in New Port Richey. The event will run Thursday December 10, 2015 through Sunday December 13, 2015 and Thursday December 17, 2015 through Sunday December 20, 2015. The gates are open from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm each night.

Citizens can enjoy this event from the comfort of their car for a minimal $2.00 per vehicle fee. The music that is set for the lights to dance to can be heard by tuning radios into 89.5 FM. Many local businesses, organizations and volunteers have come together to make this event happen each year. Families must keep their eyes opened for flurries and visitors from the North Pole.

“This event is a great opportunity for the community to come out and enjoy the Holiday Cheer,” said Park Site Supervisor Rob Mahler. “People often come out multiple times during the two week event to get themselves in the Holiday spirit and kickoff this great time of year.”
