2 Teens Stabbed At Brookhaven Apartment Complex: Police

Two 15-year-old teens are facing charges in connection with the Thursday stabbing of two 14-year-olds at Royale Apartments in Brookhaven.

BROOKHAVEN, GA — Two teenagers are facing charges after they participated in a fight, ending in the stabbing of two 14-year-olds, Brookhaven police said Friday.

Arriving officers received a report of a stabbing at the Royale Apartments on Buford Highway at 8:50 p.m. Thursday. Upon arrival, officers found three teens suffering from knife wounds: one 15-year-old boy and two 14-year-old boys.

Officers learned that the group of boys were fighting in the common area of the complex, when the 15-year-old stabbed the two 14-year-old boys. During the assault, the suspect also stabbed himself, police said.

The 15-year-old is charged with two counts of aggravated battery, and a second 15-year-old boy is facing juvenile-court charges related to his participation in the original fight, police said.

The 14-year-old teens were taken to area hospitals. One is in critical condition, while the other is stable, police said Friday afternoon. Both are expected to survive.
