Alzheimer's needs a cure or treatment now!
The Senate Appropriations committee will be considering Alzheimer's & dementia funding this week!

Every 65 seconds someone in the US develops Alzheimer's Disease. Barring increased research funding to uncover and develop medical breakthroughs needed to prevent, slow or cure the disease, the number of people aged 65 and older with Alzheimer’s or other dementias could grow from 5.6 million to 13.8 million by 2050, according to the Alzheimer's Association.
As a medical social worker with over 25 years experience in Atlanta I have seen the devastating impact of Alzheimer's or other dementias on individuals and their care partners. They suffer new losses each day and they include much more than memory loss.
Congress must continue to take decisive action to fund NIH for critical Alzheimer's Research. This disease cannot continue to be the only one in the top 10 causes of death that still has no treatment or cure! Senator Johnny Isakson is on the key Appropriations committee that will consider the $350Million increase for Alzheimer's Disease Research funding this week. Ask him to leave a strong legacy as he works his last few months in DC and help #ENDALZ! Join me in asking him to support this critical funding!
