
Candidates for Brookhaven City Council may qualify for the November election Aug. 26-28.
Council Districts 2 and 4 will appear on the Nov. 5 ballot.
Interested candidates must file a notice of candidacy with the Brookhaven city clerk on Aug. 26, 27 or 28 between 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m. Notices must be filed at the Brookhaven City Hall, 200 Ashford Center North, Suite 150 in Dunwoody, along with a $360 qualifying fee.

“All candidates must abide by the qualifications in the Brookhaven City Charter and Code, as well as applicable state laws,” City Clerk Susan Hiott said.
To vote in the November election, eligible residents must register by Oct. 7. Applications to register to vote are available at http://web.co.dekalb.ga.us/Voter/pdf/applic.pdf.

Advance voting will be held Oct. 14-Nov. 1 at the DeKalb County elections office at 4380 Memorial Dr., Suite 300 in Decatur.
