Brookhaven Arts Festival Expected To Draw Thousands In October

BROOKHAVEN, GA — The Brookhaven Arts Festival is set for the weekend of Oct. 19-20, as one of free premier arts events in one of Georgia’s fastest growing cities. The annual two-day event features a juried show of art from over 140 artists from across the country, a classic car show, children’s art section, live music, food and beverages.

Started by a small group of volunteers in 2004, the Brookhaven Arts Festival changed directors in 2015, and attracts between 8,000 and 12,000 visitors from around the region. The Brookhaven Arts Festival is produced with the input of local artists, community leaders and the Brookhaven Community Foundation, a non-profit organization.

Hours

• Saturday, October 19 from 10 am-6 pm
• Sunday, October 20 from 11 am-5 pm

• The Brookhaven Arts Festival is located on Apple Valley Road behind the Brookhaven/Oglthorpe MARTA Station.

Kids Zone

• The Kids Zone is open Saturday and Sunday throughout the entire festival.

Pets

• The Brookhaven Arts Festival is a pet-friendly festival, with all pets must remain on a leash at all times.

Rain or Shine

• This event is rain or shine unless weather conditions present an unsafe environment for attendees and vendors.

How to get to the festival

• Take MARTA to the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe station (see times for MARTA here). Take Uber/Lyft and have them drop you off on the backside of the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe Station. Drive and park your car for free in the MARTA Parking lot.

Car Show

• The Sunday Classic Car Show features vintage police cars to decked out Mini Coopers and VW vans. 1-4pm.
