Brookhaven Beer Fest This Weekend: Are You Going?

The yearly festival has sold about 1,700 tickets so far – though most are sold in the final three days before the event.

The 3rd Annual Brookhaven Beer Fest is Saturday, and a festival organizer said Tuesday the event has already sold about 1,700 tickets.

Most of the festival's tickets are typically sold in the final three days before, said Jonathan Colon, one of the festival's organizers. The festival, which features more than 150 beers from distributors across the metro Atlanta area, .

"Sales are going well," Colon, a Brookhaven resident, said in an interview with Patch. (By the way, if you buy your ticket online and use the promo code, "PATCH", you'll get $5 off your ticket.)

Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the gate, which is near the MARTA station's parking lot and Apple Valley Road. Each ticket buyer gets a commemorative tasting cup. The event runs from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.

The festival will feature two live bands this year in addition to a DJ, Colon said. Five restaurants will also be serving at the festival, and an afterparty will be held at Hudson Grille and PUB 71.
