Brookhaven Bucks In First Place At Sunbelt Season's Midpoint

BROOKHAVEN, GA -- The 2018 Sunbelt League champion Brookhaven Bucks (9-6) are halfway through the 30-game regular season and in first place in the six-team league. The top four teams advance to the playoffs.

The Bucks start the second half of the season on Monday, July 8, against the Atlanta Crackers with a 7 pm game at Norcross High School. The regular season runs through July 25, with playoffs scheduled from July 27 through August 3.

The Brookhaven Bucks are members of the Sunbelt Baseball League, a summer collegiate wooden-bat league that is funded in part by Major League Baseball. The league has six teams around metro Atlanta -- Alpharetta, Brookhaven, Gainesville, Marietta, Norcross and Suwanee.

Bucks home games are played at Oglethorpe University. Primrose School of Brookhaven is the Bucks lead sponsor. Secondary sponsors of the team include Ed Voyles Automotive, Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub, Matt McCord of Norton Commercial, Sessions Law Firm, Kapp Koncepts, Bravo Realty Consulting and Joiner Professional Services.
