Brookhaven Bucks Open Season on Saturday
Mayor John Ernst will throw out the first pitch. Game time is 1:30 at Oglethorpe University.
BROOKHAVEN, GA -- The 2016 Brookhaven Bucks season begins this Saturday, and Mayor John Ernst will throw out the first pitch.
All home games are being played at Oglethorpe University. Saturday's game begins at 1:30.
The team is a member of the Sunbelt League, a wooden-bat collegiate summer baseball squad.

Owned by Brad Dickison, the team plays its home games at Oglethorpe University. Dickison is also the team's general manager. Dickison has owned the team since 2011.
Head Coach Corey Patterson is returning for another season.

Kyle Mitchell is assistant GM, and manages the day-to-day operations for the team. Mitchell is a student-athlete at Oglethorpe University. Mandy Bennett is head of game day operations, and runs the ticket sales and concession booth.
Jeff “JJ” Johnson is the voice of the Bucks for games at Oglethorpe University. Johnson has worked for Turner Broadcasting, the Atlanta Braves and also has won an Emmy.
