UPDATE: Police Identify Body Discovered At Construction Site
On Thursday, Brookhaven police identified the body found at the construction site of the future Brookhaven Public Safety Complex.
BROOKHAVEN, GA — Brookhaven police identified the body discovered Wednesday at the construction site of the future Brookhaven Public Safety Complex.
Investigators identified the man as 65-year-old Steven Goldman of Brookhaven, per a Thursday news release.
At about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Brookhaven police were called to the construction site, located at 1793 Briarwood Road. Workers at the construction site reported finding a body on the property, inside the fenced-in construction area of the new police station.

Investigators confirmed that the man, Goldman, was dead. Based on information uncovered during the investigation and with forensic evidence from the DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office, police said Goldman died of natural causes.
Brookhaven police spokesperson Lt. David Snively said in an email Wednesday the person was not a member of the construction crew. No foul play or criminal activity was suspected, the Thursday release said.
