Brookhaven Pools To Open Later This Month
Get ready to splash around Brookhaven's three city pools this summer, because they're gearing up to open at the end of the month.
BROOKHAVEN, GA — Brookhaven residents: grab your swimsuits and get ready to make a splash. The city is opening its three pools at full capacity later at the end of May.
The pools will open May 29 and remain open daily through Sept. 6. The pools are located at Murphey Candler Park, 1551 W. Nancy Creek Drive; Briarwood Park, 2235 Briarwood Way; and Lynwood Park, 3360 Osborne Road.
The Briarwood pool was recently renovated, and was the first major city construction project using a portion of the $40 million park bond money from 2016. The $3.5 million upgrades include a 75-foot-long, six-lane competition section and a "cool surface" pool deck with a new pavilion, bleachers and umbrellas for shade.
