“We’re looking forward to operating at full capacity this summer,” said Parks & Recreation Director Brian Borden. “I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the pools, and if you have a chance you should check out our renovated Briarwood Park pool.”
The Briarwood pool renovation was the first major City construction project utilizing a portion of the $40 million Park Bond capital improvement funds. The $3.5 million upgrade features a 75-foot long six-lane competition section and a “cool surface” pool deck featuring a new pavilion, bleachers, and umbrellas for shade.
