City Council Honors 8-Year-Old Crime Stopper

Christopher Mattus was recognized for helping officers apprehend a car break-in suspect, according to a press release from the city, which explains that the child was looking out the window of his Dresden Drive home on Dec.15 when he saw a man breaking into his parents’ car. He told his mom, who called police. Christopher gave a description of the suspect to police and directed them to a nearby construction site where he saw him flee. Police then caught and arrested the suspect.

Officer Patrick Di Cicco was honored for capturing a man wanted on more than seven felony counts, including murder, assault and armed robbery.
