DeKalb Teacher Under Investigation For Alleged Molestation
A Tucker Middle School teacher is under investigation for allegedly attempting to molest a 13-year-old at Dunwoody's Perimeter Mall.
DUNWOODY, GA — A Tucker Middle School teacher is reportedly under investigation for allegedly attempting to molest a 13-year-old boy at Perimeter Mall. The accusations come after Dunwoody police released surveillance footage of an August 4 incident, in which the victim was washing his hands in a mall restroom when a man standing next to him began asking inappropriate questions. The suspect then allegedly lured the victim into a bathroom stall and reached for the boy's pants.
The victim escaped and ran to his parents, who were waiting outside. The victim's father attempted to chase the suspect, who escaped.
“The allegations, if verified and true, will lead to immediate termination,” DeKalb school district officials told Channel 2. The teacher's name has not been released. “Throughout the weekend, (school district) public safety worked swiftly with the city of Dunwoody Police Department, and provided information to assist in their investigation of the alleged incident at Perimeter Mall,” district officials said.
