Demolition Begins For New Atlanta Hawks Facility in Brookhaven
A new Emory Sports Medicine complex is being built for the NBA team.

BROOKHAVEN, GA — Demolition began earlier this week in Brookhaven on the site of the new Emory Sports Medicine Complex, a facility that will also serve as the Atlanta Hawks' practice facility.
The Emory Sports Medicine Complex is scheduled to be completed and open doors prior to the 2017-18 season. The 90,000-square foot state-of-the-art training and sports medicine center is being designed by HOK, the largest U.S.-based architecture-engineering firm and second-largest interior design firm.
The facility is being built on about five acres at 22 Executive Park Drive, and is expected to bring at least 200 permanent jobs to the city. The development of the Brookhaven site will not require any rezoning action by the city’s planning commission.
