ElectroBike Georgia’s First Retail Store to Open Saturday, Sept. 10 in Brookhaven’s Brighten Park
Dignitaries from the City of Brookhaven will help ElectroBike President Eric Hunger open the new store.

ElectroBike Georgia will open the state’s first retail store on Saturday, Sept. 10 in Brookhaven’s Brighten Park Shopping Center (2484 Briarcliff Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30329) from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. The day will include demonstrations, giveaways, light refreshments and a ribbon-cutting at 3 p.m. by Eric Hunger, president of ElectroBike Georgia, Eduardo Cymerman, CEO of ElectroBike, Brookhaven City Councilman Joe Gebbia, Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce President Alan Goodman and other officials. The company’s flagship Georgia store will have a “soft opening” on Friday, Sept. 9. ElectroBikes are state-of-the art, motorized bicycles powered by a rechargeable Lithium ion battery. The brand was launched in Mexico in 2012 and quickly spread to the U.S. www.electrobikega.com
“ElectroBike is revolutionizing transportation around the world, and we are delighted to open our first retail shop in Georgia,” said Cymerman, who traveled to Atlanta from Mexico for the opening. “With its rolling hills and mild climate, Georgia is ideal for battery-powered bicycles. ElectroBikes are good for the environment, good for improving health and fitness and good for the wallet by offering an affordable transportation alternative to cars.”
The new shop will offer seven brands of ElectroBikes ranging from mountain bikes to traditional styles to bicycles that fold up, in a variety of colors and sizes, along with helmets, gear and bicycle accessories. Trained staff also will offer ElectroBike repair, servicing, safety checks, brake adjustments, puncture repair, bike assembly and more. During the grand opening weekend, customers will have the opportunity to try the various ElectroBike models.

“ElectroBikes are perfect for recreation, and also offer an affordable and efficient answer to Atlanta’s traffic challenges,” said Hunger. “The small motors are quiet and clean and provide power when you want it. ElectroBikes can be operated as traditional bicycles, or the rider can flip a switch to engage the throttle or turn on the pedal-assist feature. The Lithium ion batteries recharge in about an hour and a half simply by plugging them into a standard wall outlet, making the bikes perfect for commuters. Some models even fold up so you can easily take them with you into your home or office.”
“On behalf of the Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce, I am delighted to welcome ElectroBike to the City of Brookhaven,” said Alan Goodman, president of the Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce. “I hope having Georgia’s first-ever ElectroBike shop in our city will encourage our citizens, as well as others in the metro Atlanta area, to take advantage of the community’s bicycle paths and bike lanes, either as an alternative transportation option or just for fun and fitness.”
