Extras Needed For Commercial Parody

Omar Collington, the Renfroe Middle basketball coach and founder of Over and Beyond Basketball LLC, says he'll play a role in a parody advertisement to be filmed this Saturday.

He says local comic Josh Harris needs extras to perform as cheering fans from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Oglethorpe University gymnasium at 4484 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta.

This is how Harris describes the filming on a Facebook page.

"This will be a fake commercial for a sports drink endorsed by Darth Vader called 'Vladerade!' It will involve a lot of special effects, including light-sabering off the legs of an opposing player and a backboard-breaking somersault dunk from the three-point line."

Collington says the video will debut at Sketchworks, Atlanta's sketch comedy theater, for their spring show and then be released.
