Fire Ants Cause Chamblee City Worker to Strip on Roadside

An unfortunate encounter with a colony of fire ants forced a Chamblee Public Works employee to strip down to his boxers on the side of the road, city police said this week.

Chamblee Officer Cushenan detailed the embarrassing incident in the police department's weekly report on Thursday:

You may have seen a Public Works employee dancing around on the side of the road in his boxer briefs. Don’t worry; he was just covered up to his waist in fire ants. The employee was using the weed eater when he realized that he was standing on an ant hill. Talk about embarrassment, he jumped out of his pants right when a woman was walking by on the sidewalk. Thankfully, she understood and they shared a laugh… these things aren’t forgotten so quickly by his fellow employees.
