Foot Chase Nabs Suspects In Multiple Burglaries, Package Thefts

A burglary in process led Brookhaven police on a foot chase to apprehend the suspects who tried to get away.

BROOKHAVEN, GA — Police have arrested three suspects in connection with several burglaries and package thefts in Brookhaven. On Thursday morning, police responded to reports of a burglary in progress in the 3500 block of Buford Highway. The three suspects were seen running away, so police established a perimeter.

Two officers, including Deputy Chief Brandon Gurley, caught one of the suspects, while other officers arrested a second suspect.

A few minutes later, a Brookhaven resident called 911 with reports of a suspicious male in Buford Highway's 3100 block. Gurley and the officer who assisted in the first arrest then responded, and caught the suspect as he tried to scale a fence.
