Founding Brookhaven Civic Association Member Passes Away
Jessie Tinsley was a founder of the Drew Valley Civic Association, one of Brookhaven's longest standing neighborhood associations.
BROOKHAVEN, GA — One of the founding members of a longstanding Brookhaven neighborhood association died on Monday.
According to a post on Next Door, Jessie Tinsley moved, along with her husband, into the Drew Valley neighborhood in 1962. Mrs. Tinsley was a founding member of the Drew Valley Civic Association, which has remained semi-active for more than 15 years in Brookhaven.
Mrs. Tinsley was a regular at every civic association meeting and activity.

According to her online obituary, there will be a viewing on Thursday, Sept. 29, from 5-9 pm at Patterson Oglethorpe on Peachtree Road in Brookhaven. Graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 30, at 11 am at Sawnee View Garden in Cumming, GA.
