ICYMI: Vampire Diaries May Be Ending Soon

Ian Somerhalder says the Atlanta-filmed series will end after season 8. But The CW says no final decision has been made.

Ian Somerhalder, star of the hit TV series "The Vampire Diaries," says the show will end after season 8.

The actor made his comments at Walker Stalker Con in Nashville on Sunday, according to EW.

But The CW, which carries the show, says no final decision has been made.

"The Vampire Diaries," filmed in Atlanta, is finishing up its seventh season on May 13. It has been renewed for season eight.
