Isakson and Perdue need to be BOLD.
Join me in asking our Georgia Senators to strengthen our response to Alzheimer's as a public health issue.

The bipartisan Building Our Largest Dementia (BOLD) Infrastructure for Alzheimer’s Act (S. 2076/H.R. 4256) would strengthen the nation’s public health response to Alzheimer’s by providing state, local, and tribal public health officials with the funding and resources necessary to increase early detection and diagnosis, reduce risk, prevent avoidable hospitalizations, and address health disparities—all of which impact those living with the disease, and their millions of unpaid caregivers.
These important priorities track with the most recent research advances as well. During the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) in July, research showed that aggressive lowering of systolic blood pressure significantly reduces the risk of developing cognitive decline and dementia. The BOLD Infrastructure for Alzheimer’s Act would build upon research advances like this by implementing public health interventions to reduce the risk of cognitive decline, such as by controlling cardiovascular risk factors.
Rep. Karen Handel has already signed on as a co-sponsor of BOLD. Now we need our Senators to do the same! Senator Isakson and Senator Perdue, the BOLD ACT is already over 50 sponsors in the Senate. Please add your names to this important bill that will impact millions of Americans now living with Alzheimer's or another dementia and those that will be developing the disease every 65 seconds in the United States.

Thank you from a constituent and concerned citizen who has seen first hand the often devastating effect this disease has on individuals and families.
