'Light Up Brookhaven' Being Held Thursday Night

The city’s “Light Up Brookhaven” holiday event is Thursday, Dec. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Blackburn Park.

The free event features special musical performances from local schools, visits with Santa (parents welcome to take pics), Christmas & Hanukkah crafts, Montgomery Elementary hot chocolate sale, refreshments and lighting of our Christmas tree and Hanukkah display.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped gift for Toys for Tots. Before the lighting, children of all ages are invited to our ‘Reindeer Run’ fun 1K at 5 p.m. in the park.

While supplies last, participants will receive a special prize to wear during the run and keep.
