BROOKHAVEN, GA — The U.S. Marshals are searching for a "person of interest" for questioning in relation to a Connecticut homicide case, and their person of interest was reported to be last seen in Brookhaven or Duluth Thursday morning, authorities said.

Qinxuan Pan, 29, is being sought by authorities for questioning in the case surrounding the Feb. 6 killing of Yale University graduate student Kevin Jiang. Jiang, 26, was found shot to death in New Haven, Connecticut around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

There's currently a warrant for Pan's arrest for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and interstate theft of a vehicle, according to the New Haven Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service. New Haven Police Department Chief Otoniel Reyes said Wednesday that Pan was not a suspect, but a person of interest.
