Man Wanted For Stabbing Woman At Peachtree Creek Greenway
The Brookhaven Police Department is searching for a man who they say stabbed a woman while she was walking at the Peachtree Creek Greenway.

BROOKHAVEN, GA — Brookhaven Police Department investigators are looking for the public's help in identifying a man who they say stabbed a woman while she was walking at the Peachtree Creek Greenway over the weekend.
Lt. David Snively, a spokesperson for BPD, said the victim was walking with her child along the greenway Saturday around 5:30 p.m. The suspect approached the victim and attempted to talk to her.
As she walked away, the male suspect stabbed her in the back. She sustained serious injuries but is expected to survive, Snively said. Her child was not hurt.

The suspect is described as a Black male between 20 and 30 years old, weighing approximately 160-180 pounds and standing roughly 5' 8" tall. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a white tank top; long, dark shorts; and a dark-colored hat with the word "DOPE" written in multicolored letters.
The man ran away from the scene along the greenway after the stabbing. Prior to the incident, police say he may have been walking in the area of Buford Highway and Corporate Boulevard.

Anyone with information about the stabbing, any witnesses to the crime and/or anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call BPD at 404-637-0636.
