“Rail power was immediately de-energized and those customers on board the train were moved to another train,” Fisher said. “While MARTA Police, Safety, and Rail Operations investigate, bus transportation is being provided for rail customers from Lindbergh to Chamblee stations. Rail service through this area will resume once it is safe to restore power.”

By 12:30 p.m. Fisher said the area had been cleared and trains were operating on normal schedule.
