Master Plan for 10 Brookhaven Parks Released

The city council will be hearing about the plan during Tuesday's work session.

Brookhaven GA -- The Brookhaven City Council will be hearing a presentation on Tuesday afternoon about a master plan for 10 city parks.

The parks included in the plan are Ashford, Blackburn, Briarwood, Brookhaven, Clack’s Corner, Fernwood, Georgian Hills, Lynwood, Murphey Candler and Skyland, according to Reporter Newspapers.

The parks are receiving special attention in the city’s Site Specific Park Plans process. The plans were released to the general public last week, reports the Brookhaven Post.

Some of the improvements at the various parks include multi-use trails, renovated parking, additional restrooms, picnic shelters and landscape buffers.

The city council will hear about the plans during its 3:30 pm work session at City Hall.
