Brookhaven city officials said a higher than usual surge is expected at Peachtree-DeKalb Airport (PDK). Flight traffic is expected to increase starting Weds., Jan. 30 and ending late afternoon Monday, Feb 4. Only one runway will be open the entire week, as the other runways will be closed for plane parking.

At the peak, the FAA is planning 25 operations/hour (take off or landing). Planes have to reserve a time to land, park, and take off again. If no parking is available, planes will be forced to go somewhere else after dropping off passengers.
