Picnic In The Parks Helps Support Local Brookhaven Restaurants

BROOKHAVEN, GA — Planning on grabbing a bite to eat in Brookhaven? You can help support participating local restaurants through Explore Brookhaven's Picnic in the Parks promotion.

Explore Brookhaven, also known as the Brookhaven Convention & Visitors Bureau, is hosting the promotion to help support local eateries. Qualifying orders will receive a reusable picnic basket to enjoy meals outdoors at one of 18 parks in the city, according to a news release.

"Explore Brookhaven continues to support our hospitality and tourism partners within the community," said Renee Areng, executive director of Explore Brookhaven, in the release. "Our team is constantly brainstorming new ways to encourage residents, as well as guests, to enjoy the great assets Brookhaven has to offer."

Guests must mention the Picnic in the Parks program at participating restaurants to be eligible for a picnic basket. The promotion is not valid on third-party orders such as Uber Eats, GrubHub, DoorDash, Postmates and others.

• El Potro Mexican Restaurant, 3396 Buford Highway
  • Valid on to-go orders valued at $30 or more
• Marlow's Tavern, 3575 Durden Drive, Suite 301
  • Valid on to-go orders valued at $50 or more
• Urban Wok, 705 Town Boulevard, Building R, Suite A415
  • Two create-your-own meals and two drinks for $23; look for the Picnic in the Parks tab on the menu to order
• Vino Venue, 4478 Chamblee Dunwoody Road
  • Valid on to-go orders valued at $35 or more

Additionally, anyone who shares a photo on Facebook or Instagram could be eligible to receive a "special gift" for promoting the program, the release said.

Here's how you could win:

1. Order takeout from a participating restaurant and receive the reusable picnic basket.
2. Take a photo enjoying your meal and picnic basket at a city park.
3. Share your photo on Instagram or Facebook and hashtag #explorebrookhaven, as well as tag the restaurant you ordered from.
