Robots Welcome Customers, Serve Slices At New Big Bang Pizza
Walk into Brookhaven's newest pizza restaurant and prepare for old-world menu items with a very 21st century twist.
BROOKHAVEN, GA -- Walk into the newly opened Big Bang Pizza on Buford Highway in Brookhaven and you'll likely be greeted by the familiar aromas of the centuries-old Italian staple, such as hot bread, melted cheese, simmering tomato sauce, garlic, onions, and Pepperoni. But what comes next is 100-percent 21st century ... and maybe beyond.
You'll be greeted by a robot -- yes, a robot -- through which you can place your order. Then, serving robots will bring your food order to your table. They'll also answer questions about menu items, restroom locations and the like.
Big Bang, located at 3043 Buford Highway NE, held its grand opening on Saturday, Jan. 26, and gave away free slices of pizza all day.
