Walgreens Offering Free HIV Testing In Brookhaven June 27

ATLANTA -- According to the Georgia Public Health Department, more than 2,500 people received a HIV diagnosis statewide in 2017 - the highest rate in the US, with 69% of Georgians infected with HIV residing in Atlanta.

To combat this, Walgreens and Greater Than AIDS are hosting their largest free in-store testing event to date at Walgreens stores across Atlanta on National HIV Testing Day, June 27, as part of an ongoing commitment to extend the reach of HIV testing and information within communities. Getting an HIV test is the first step to identifying people with the HIV infection, and the pivotal entry point into the medical care system for both treatment and prevention.

All testing will be done from 10 am to 7 pm at the Brookhaven Walgreens location at 2320 N Druid Hills Rd NE, as well as its Sandy Springs location at 7530 Roswell Road. Click here for more information and other locations besides those listed below:
