Week Ahead: Fundraiser, Choir, Music and More

Here is a list of things going on this week in and around Brookhaven:

1. Angels Among Us Pet Rescue Fundraiser: Monday. In celebration of International Dog Day, Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint in the Toco Hills Shopping Center is hosting a fundraiser for Angels Among Us Pet Rescue on Monday, Aug 26th.
2. Great Atlanta Bicycle Parade Fireball Bike Flag Workshop!: Thursday. Ride with the Phoenixes leading The Great Atlanta Bicycle Parade up Peachtree Street on September the 8th at Atlanta Streets Alive!
3. The African Children’s Choir is coming to Decatur!: Wednesday. The internationally acclaimed African Children’s Choir performing at Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
4. Cedar Hill Bluegrass Band Live at Steve's Live Music: Tuesday. All of the members sing and produce blended harmonies characteristic of the great bluegrass music, barbershop, gospel quartets, and other styles of music they incorporate into their sound.
5. Introduction to Mountain Biking Class: Wednesday. On easy terrain, our instructors teach basic techniques such as shifting, braking, ascending, descending and maneuvering obstacles. Novara mountain bikes are provided free for those without a bike.
