1. 2013 Walk To End Alzheimer's: Saturday. The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
2. Natural Dyeing: Indigo Silk Scarf: Saturday. Learn about the chemistry of natural dyes, the history of indigo and try your hand at several techniques including plangi shibori, arashi shibori as well as traditional tie, stitch and clamp resists. Design and create your own masterpiece to wear for years to come.
3. Try a Taste of Chamblee This Weekend: Saturday. The 2013 Taste of Chamblee festival.
4. 4th Annual Brew & BBQ for CdLS at SweetWater: Saturday. Includes Souvenir Pint Glass, Beer Sampling, BarbequeDinner, Live Music, Silent Auction and Brewery Tours benefiting the national CdLS Foundation.
5. Oktoberfest. Enjoy authentic German food, the launch of our 2013 Hefeweizen and Oktoberfest Lager, at 5 Seasons Brewing. Plus live German - style music throughout the day. 11 a.m., Saturday. $25 per person for all the Oktoberfest food you care to enjoy or $25 per person for all the beer you care to enjoy,or $45 per person for all the beer and Oktoberfest food you care to enjoy.
