Here's a list of things going on this weekend in and around Brookhaven:

  1. Science on Tap: World Premiere of “Whale Sharks of the Yucatan": Friday. Join us as Georgia Aquarium’s very own Dr. Al Dove, Director of Research and Conservation, and guest speaker and two-time Emmy® award winning filmmaker, George Schellenger, provide us with a special Science on Tap focusing on whale shark conservation as we kick off “Whale Shark Weekend 2013.” 
  2. Dragon Con Night: Saturday. On August 31 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Georgia Aquarium will host a special Dragon Con Night. Tickets are $22 before Aug. 28 and $25 after.
  3. Toni Braxton. The singer performs at 8 p.m., Saturday, at Chastain Park Amphitheatre.
  4. Outdoor Artists Market. “Fall into Art” an outdoor Artists Market  presented by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces features 30 local artists and artisans on the greenspace entry to Town Brookhaven. 4330 Peachtree Road.
  5. Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly. The legendary R&B group performs with Kem and the Isley Brothers for the Bounce TV Summer Music Festival at 7 p.m., Sunday at Chastain Park Amphitheatre.
