19-Year-Old Shot, Killed Outside DeKalb Food Mart: Police
A 19-year-old man was found shot outside a DeKalb County food mart Wednesday evening, he later died from his injuries.
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man after he was found outside a food mart Wednesday evening.
Police arrived to the convenience store at 3806 Flat Shoals Parkway late Wednesday night and found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds, DeKalb police spokesperson Michaela Vincent said.
The victim was later identified as Jakare McKeller. He died from his injuries, Vincent said, but it was not clear if he died on the scene or on the way to a hospital.

McKeller's grandmother Johnnie Jones spoke to Fox 5 Atlanta, describing him as a "lovable kid." Jones said she raised McKeller since he was 5 months old and he was about to turn 20 later this month.
Another shooting happened outside the store back in March, according to previous reports, leaving one man dead and another critically injured, Fox 5 reported.

No suspect has been identified, and police are still investigating a potential motive. The investigation is still ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call DeKalb police.
