Decatur and Brookhaven police are looking for the public's help in identifying a suspect believed to have committed crimes in both cities.
DECATUR, GA — Decatur and Brookhaven police departments need the public's help identifying a suspect believed to have committed two robberies and one attempted sexual assault in the two cities on March 7, police said Tuesday.
Decatur police responded to a parking garage at the 200 block of East Trinity Place just before 8 a.m. Sunday, after a female victim reported that she was robbed. The victim said she was approached by a man who asked for help entering the parking garage's apartment building.
The man then pointed a gun at her and demanded her belongings, to which the victim complied. She said the man then attempted to sexually assault her, but she fought him and escaped with a minor head injury, according to a Tuesday news release.

Later that day, Brookhaven police responded to an armed robbery at the 4000 block of Summit Boulevard. A female victim said a red Cadillac attempted to follow her through the gate as she entered the parking deck, but was stopped by a barrier, the release said.
