Agnes Scott Graduation Saturday; Soledad O'Brien To Speak

The ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday on Presser Quadrangle.

Commencement for Agnes Scott College starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday on Presser Quadrangle.

Nearly 200 students are expected to receive diplomas at the school's 124th commencement.

Soledad O’Brien of CNN will give the commencement speech.

She is an Emmy-winning journalist who hosted the CNN documentary "Black in America" and "Latino in America."  She anchored the CNN morning show "Starting Point" until March.

She still works with CNN, but "will produce documentaries independently with her own production company," the Huffington Post reported.

In case of bad weather, graduation may be moved into Gaines Chapel. The commencement reception will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Letitia Pate Evans Hall.
