Avondale Estates May Install Crosswalk Light
The flashing light would be like the one on East College near Agnes Scott College.
Avondale Estates wants to make the crosswalk at Ashton Place and Covington Road safer for pedestrians.
One safety measure would be the installation of a flashing light like the one now operating on East College Avenue at Agnes Scott College.
Also, handicap ramps would be built on each side of Covington Road.
City Manager Clai Brown said the total cost of the project is $12,000-$15,000.
