City of Decatur Sets Tentative 2019 Millage Rate
The city commission will hold several public meetings on the proposed millage rate in June before it is finally approved.
DECATUR, GA -- The Decatur City Commission Monday night adopted a tentative millage rate of 13.92 mills for fiscal year 2019-2020 for general operations, capital improvements, downtown development authority operations and debt service. This is a .3 mill increase over the 2018 millage rate of 13.62 mills. The increase in the millage rate is recommended for the debt service payments for the Decatur Legacy Park property that was purchased in August, 2017.
The Decatur City Commission will hold public hearings on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.; Monday, June 10, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. and Monday, June 17, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. The final millage will be set at the Decatur City Commission meeting scheduled for Monday, June 17, 2019.
All meetings will be held in the city commission meeting room at Decatur City Hall.
