Closing: The Square Pub In Decatur Will Close After Saturday

The Square Pub in downtown Decatur is closing after 10 years. The business is inviting patrons to come out Saturday for its last day.

DECATUR, GA — The Square Pub in downtown Decatur will permanently close Saturday. The business shared the news Wednesday in a Facebook post.

“It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that The Square Pub will be closing as of March 7th,” the owner wrote. “We delayed making this post because it was of the utmost importance to us that we personally tell everyone who helped build this establishment before we released the news on social media. Now, that time has come.”

The Square Pub, located at 115 Sycamore Street next to The Iberian Pig, has been in the community for 10 years.

“Our goal was to open a restaurant that felt like home to not only our guests but also our staff. Little did we know that our guests and staff would become our closest friends and we would begin to come together in such a way that blurred the lines between being a bar and being a family.”

People are invited to come for “one last round.”
