College Football Championship: Georgia Vs. Alabama Time, TV, Odds
How to watch the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2018 National Championship Game, plus betting lines, history and more.
ATLANTA, GA — It will be an all-SEC National Championship game when the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Time face off on Monday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. It will also be as close to a home game as possible for two squads seeking a national title. UGA is in Athens, just a little over an hour to the east of Atlanta, while Tuscaloosa is a three-hour drive along Interstate 20 to the west.
It's a matchup full of intriguing story lines. Not the least of them is the meeting of Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, who led the Bulldogs to a 13-1 season and an SEC Championship in just his second year, and Alabama coach Nick Saban, who was Smart's boss for 11 years at Alabama.
The 12-1 Crimson Tide almost didn't make it into the College Football Playoffs after losing to arch-rival Auburn and failing to capture the SEC West crown. But the committee saw fit to give them a No. 4 seed over Ohio State and they responded by dominating No. 1 Clemson in the Sugar Bowl.

Georgia, meanwhile, won a history-making thriller in the Rose Bowl, defeating Heisman Trophy-winner Baker Mayfield and the Oklahoma Sooners 54-48 in double-overtime.
