Decatur Commission Holds Retreat Thursday, Friday

The Decatur City Commission is not going far to hold its annual retreat.

The commissioners and city staff will first meet Thursday at Cafe Lily at 308 W. Ponce de Leon Ave. There will be a 6:15 p.m. reception and a dinner at 7 p.m.

On Friday, they meet at Columbia Theological Seminary at 701 S. Columbia Drive.

There will be a continental breakfast 8:30-9 a.m., a session until noon, one hour for lunch and a second session 1-4:30 p.m.

There's no detailed agenda. City Manager Peggy Merriss said the commission defines it priorities during the retreat.

The public is invited to attend.
