DECATUR, GA — Decatur police need the public's help in the search for two women accused of attacking a Decatur McDonald's employee at the drive-thru window and stealing the restaurant's cash register.

According to Sgt. John Bender, Decatur police's public information officer, officers responded to an armed robbery call around 8:13 p.m. Tuesday at the McDonald's on Commerce Drive. Bender said two women pulled up to the drive-thru window in a white sedan, when one of them pepper-sprayed the employee working the window. The second woman got out of the car, grabbed the register's cash drawer through the open drive-thru window and the two drove away, police said.

The McDonald's employee who was attacked was treated at the scene for minor injuries, according to Bender. A make and model of the car used has not been released as of Thursday morning, and it was not clear how much money the women allegedly stole.
