Decatur Police Charge Man With Aggravated Assault
He is accused of hitting his nephew in the head with a rake.

Decatur police charged a man with aggravated assault June 30 for allegedly hitting his nephew in the head with a yard rake.
Police went to the 200 block of Hill Street that night after a 911 call reported some men fighting in the yard. They found a man with a forehead cut.
Inside a residence, police talked to Ector Norman, who said his nephew placed his hand inside his pocket during an argument.
Fearing the nephew had a handgun, he went inside, got a rake, returned and struck his nephew in the head, the police report stated. The men continued to fight until relatives broke it up.
The nephew said he was working on his car when his uncle attacked for no reason.
Norman, a resident of West Hill Street, was taken to the DeKalb County Jail. The nephew declined ambulance transport and said he'd get a ride to the hospital.
